[he finishes the piece of jerky he's eating, closes the bag carefully and tucks it back under the bed. then he relinquishes half of the blanket and half of the pillow, since he's already on his side of the bed.]
[Isaac finds himself sighing when Peter indicates that they should lie down and flops down onto the bed, tugging half the blanket over him- still grumbling slightly about how it's barely midday, but. They could both probably use the rest.]
[every other time isaac has gotten into bed with peter, peter's rolled over, so that they were lying back to back. this time he doesn't. it's still a far cry from anything even resembling a snuggle, just the light press of peter's forearms to isaac's back instead of lying spine-to-spine. it takes much longer than usual for him to fall into an uneasy sleep full of uneasy dreams, but once he does he won't stir if isaac gets out of bed again.]
[Isaac notices the change, but he doesn't comment on it yet, preferring to stay quiet as Peter's arms press against his back. He doesn't really move, doesn't speak- Isaac isn't used to staying quiet, isn't used to listening, but the sound of Peter's breathing is slowly lulling him into a dizzy sense of consciousness, where he's quite sleeping, but too hazy to be focused and awake.
