[The thought of apologizing doesn't really cross his mind. Isaac is too busy dealing with residual soreness and- well, fielding Scott in general.]

It's alright, I'll figure something out. I don't think Allison would want me touching her stuff, even if she isn't using it.

[The frown is evident in his voice when he speaks again.]

And you don't... have to bring me food or anything.

All her stuff is in my room. [ Hence why Scott's room has some girly touches to it. ] Her room is practically empty, she wouldn't mind you using it.

If you're too hurt to move to get food, someone's going to have to bring food to you. [ It's the least Scott can do for making Derek kick his door down. ]

I guess.

[The sound of fabric over the feed as he shifts against the couch.]

I might just crash with Erica. She's just upstairs. Anyway, I can move, it's just a little sore.

[Bruises all up and down his torso? Just a little sore. He'd say he's had worse, but hell, he had worse three days ago when the bruises were covering broken ribs.]

Okay. [ It sounds a lot easier for Isaac to stay with Erica rather than move to Freya. ]

Even if I don't need to bring you food, can I come see you anyway because you're my friend?

[ And he totally thinks Isaac is downplaying his injuries so he wants to come see him and judge for himself how "not bad" it is. ]

I... yeah. I guess so.

[He doesn't know if he'll ever get used to hearing that.]

Come on over.

That's if Derek hasn't killed you before then.

[Isaac lets out a deep breath.

He's actually slightly terrified of that.]

...yeah. If he hasn't.

[ Scott senses the fear in Isaac's voice. ]

I was joking, he's not going to hurt you. [ Scott hopes. He'll be in trouble with Scott if he does. ] The first time you were here, you went missing and we went looking for you, but you'd got sent home. I think he was afraid of that happening again.

[ Because as much as Derek prefers being alone, Scott knows he needs his betas, especially the one that stayed behind. ]

[There's a pause there- nobody told him that.]

...I don't think Derek is afraid to lose me.

[Quiet, but- detached. Maybe Isaac is wrong- he has a feeling he might be- but it's never externally been about anything but power. Scott even commented on it, at one point. And, truthfully, Isaac accepted that going into it, and he accepts it now.]

You didn't see his face after he kicked your door down and saw you weren't there.

[ Scott will leave it at that. ]

I have to go deal with a customer but I'll see you later, okay? Take it easy.

...yeah. See you.

[Regardless, the call has given him a lot to think about.]
