He'd doubted Derek, thought the worst of him, but when had Derek ever actively done things to hurt him? Isaac still remembers the look in his eyes when he saw the cuts and bruises from the first battle that Isaac had been in, he knows that his safety is important to Derek, even if the alpha doesn't show it and treats him gruffly.
